Pricing: free while in beta
RecordHTML is free while it is in beta. Every account gets the same allowance below, whether you record from the web app, the API or an AI assistant. There is nothing to pay and no card to enter.
The free beta allowance

- Frame rates in whole numbers from 1 to 30 fps; up to 2,073,600 pixels per frame (1920×1080)

- Up to 25 MiB compressed, 100 MiB unpacked and 1,000 files and folders; 20 uploads per 24 hours
- Storage
- Finished videos are kept until you delete them

One allowance for the app, the API and AI assistants
Recordings started from the web app, with an API key or through the MCP server all belong to your account and count toward the same limits. They also appear in the same list in My recordings.
What counts toward the limits
Each recording you start counts toward the 24-hour limit, including a re-run of an earlier recording. Requests rejected because their settings are invalid or above your limits don't count. A recording counts as in progress from the moment it is accepted until it is ready or has failed.
Cropping and trimming a finished recording doesn't use a recording: the original stays in your account and you can change the edit or revert it.
When you reach a limit
A new recording is refused with a message that names the limit, and you can start again once a recording finishes or the 24-hour window moves on. The API answers 429 with the code daily_limit or too_many_active_jobs, and a recording above the length, size or frame-rate limit gets 403 limit_exceeded. Nothing is ever charged.

If your work needs longer recordings, more recordings per day or larger frames, email [email protected] with your account email and what you record. Limits can be raised per account.
After the beta
Paid plans may come later. Before any plan with a price starts, we will announce it on this page and by email to every account, in advance. Nothing will be charged without you choosing a paid plan, and the recordings you have made stay yours.
