Terms of service

Last updated October 26, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Primoz Zagoricnik S.P., Slovenia ("we", "us"), which operates RecordHTML. By creating an account or using the web app, the API or the MCP server, you accept them. If you use RecordHTML for a company, you accept them on its behalf.

1. The service

RecordHTML records HTML5 creatives and web pages as video or GIF in a browser that we run, stores the results in your account, and lets you crop, trim and download them. It is available through the web app, a REST API and an MCP server for AI assistants.

RecordHTML is in beta. Features, formats and limits may change, be added or be removed as the service develops.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old and give a real email address.
  • An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what is done with your account.
  • Do not create several accounts to get around limits.

3. Your content

You keep all rights to the creatives, pages and recordings you submit or produce ("your content"). You give us the permission we need to provide the service: to load, render and record your content, to store, convert and edit the results, and to deliver them to you and to the systems you configure. We use your content for nothing else.

You are responsible for having the rights to record what you submit, including third-party fonts, images, video, music and trademarks in it, and for how you use the recordings.

Uploaded creatives are public by link. Files you upload as a ZIP, or that an AI assistant sends as HTML, are stored where anyone with their address can open them. Do not upload personal data, confidential material or secrets. See the privacy policy.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use RecordHTML to:

  • record, store or distribute content that is illegal, infringes the rights of others, or sexualises minors;
  • record pages or systems you are not allowed to access, or try to reach private networks through the recorder;
  • distribute malware, or run code meant to attack, mine on or escape the recording browser;
  • interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without following the reporting process on the contact page, or bypass its limits;
  • resell or offer the free beta allowance to others as a recording service of your own.

5. API keys, webhooks and AI assistants

API keys and AI assistants connected through the MCP server act as you, with your limits. You are responsible for everything done with your keys and connected assistants, including recordings an assistant starts on its own. Keep keys secret, never put them in web pages, and revoke a key in API settings as soon as it may have been exposed.

Webhook endpoints must be addresses you control. We may stop deliveries to endpoints that keep failing.

6. Limits and fair use

Every account has limits on recordings per day, recordings at a time, length, frame size and frame rate. The current free allowance is on the pricing page. We may change the limits, and raise or lower them for an account, for example to keep the service available for everyone.

7. Fees

RecordHTML is free while in beta. If we introduce paid plans, we will announce them on the pricing page and by email in advance. You will only pay if you choose a paid plan, under terms shown to you before you do.

8. Availability and your copies

We work to keep RecordHTML running and your recordings safe, but during the beta we offer no guaranteed availability. Recordings can fail, the service can be interrupted, and stored videos are kept only for the period shown on the pricing page. Download and keep your own copies of recordings you need.

9. Suspension and ending

You can stop using RecordHTML at any time and ask us to delete your account at [email protected]. We may suspend or close an account, revoke its API keys or remove content if it breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and explain why. We may also end the service as a whole, with at least 30 days' notice by email so that you can download your recordings.

10. Warranty and liability

RecordHTML is provided free of charge and "as is" during the beta, without warranties beyond those that the law makes mandatory.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or failed campaigns, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to 100 euros. These limits do not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, to injury to life, body or health, or to any other liability that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms reduces your mandatory rights under the law of the country where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will tell you about material changes by email before they take effect; if you continue to use RecordHTML afterwards, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service and close your account.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The courts of Slovenia have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in the country where you live.
